The four stops

What each status actually means

A quick translator so an email update never leaves you guessing.

  1. 1

    Received

We've got your application and queued it for review.

  2. 2

    In review

A human reviewer is checking your details for accuracy.

  3. 3

    Forwarded

Your file has been passed to the relevant authorities.

  4. 4

    Outcome

A decision is back — we email you the details in plain English.

Where to look for updates

  • Open the inbox you used when you started your application.
  • Check spam, promotions, and updates folders for our emails.
  • Reply to the latest message from us — don't start a new thread.
  • Make sure the address on file is still active.
  • Keep your application reference handy when you write to us.

How timing usually feels

Movement from Received to In review is often quick — usually within a working day. Later stages depend on the authorities, especially around busy travel windows.

We don't promise instant approvals. Honest expectations help you plan with confidence — and if a date is approaching, just let us know and we'll do what we can to help.

Tip: leave a comfortable buffer between your application date and any non-refundable travel.

Quietly secure in the background

Status updates are tied to the email on your application, encrypted in transit, and only handled by the small team helping you. No public lookup links, no surprise sign-ins, no third-party trackers.

Quick answers

How do I check the status of my ETIAS application?+

Every status update is emailed to the address you used when you started your application. There's no separate login or dashboard to refresh — your inbox is the dashboard.

How long does an ETIAS application usually take?+

Many decisions come back quickly, but processing times can stretch during peak travel periods. We recommend applying as early as possible before any non-refundable travel.

What if I don't see an update email?+

Have a quick look in your spam, promotions, or updates folders. If it's not there, reply to your most recent message from us and a real person will check on it.

Does 'pending' mean my ETIAS is being refused?+

Not at all. Pending usually means the authorities are completing routine checks. It's a normal part of the process and not a sign of refusal.

Is my information secure while you track it?+

Yes. Status updates are tied to the email registered on the application, encrypted in transit, and only handled by team members who need access to help you.

Can I track an ETIAS for someone else in my family?+

Yes — if you started or paid for the application on their behalf, status updates land in the email you used. Each traveller in a group has their own reference and status.

Need a hand right now?

Email [email protected] and a real person will reply — usually within 24 hours. You can also visit the Help Centre or check processing times.
